School Easter Party

Jack had his school Easter Party and hunt today and let me say he had NO problem getting into that egg hunting!

I think he's trying to figure out whats happening....

Places to Go, People to See!!

He has been cracking us up lately with his Cozy Coupe antics. He frequently loads up his car and tells us he's headed to "go to school" or "I getting dinner". This morning he was going to take all the toys for a ride I guess....he had milk, juice, Buzz, Woody, his cell phone and his donkey from CBS in the car and ready to go for the trip.

Spring and Bluebonnets

I found a somewhat decent patch of bluebonnets on our way to the lake this last weekend and decided to stop on our way back home for some much needed "Spring 2011 Bluebonnet" pics.

Work, Work, Work...or an attempt at least!

We had a work weekend at the lake this last week and I took a few shots of the boys in the middle of their hard labor. What I did not catch is a photo within the next two hours of Brian down on the ground after he pulled his back. Between Brian's back and Jack's developing ear infection- I think you can imagine how "well" our "work" weekend went!

After Dad had a "few" to numb the pain he and Jack were off on the mower. Never mind his ear, nothing was going to stop him from mowing the yard with his daddy! I think this child is definitely his Papa's grandson- HE LOVES TO MOW and ANYTHING related to mechanics, movement or driving.

The "Princess"

 NO, YOU ARE NOT SEEING THINGS- THAT IS A DOG ON MY PILLOW.

As things around our house seem to amp up for the spring and summer, one thing remains the same.....Sophie.

She is without fail, our "princess" puppy. I say puppy, she's 10 years old now, but never lets us forget where she stands...or lies. I have tried on numerous accounts to break her from sleeping on our bed, but as you can see, it has not worked very well. Abbye has been in our house just as long as Soph, but does not share the same attitude.

Every day the girls wake myself or Brian (when I say wake, that means a Sophie on your chest) so they can go potty and be fed. After the bathroom break and a quick bite here is where you can find Sophie- on who's ever pillow is empty at the time, drifting back to sleep. Ahh, the life of our dog. Thank goodness Abbye has her bed on the floor- it's getting crowded!!!

March Recap

The last half of March came in with blowing dirt and unfortunately ended in even worse blowing dirt. It has been beyond yuck around here and we DESPERATELY NEED RAIN!!! Despite the horrible wind, we had a good month with birthdays, some spring cleaning on my part and better than anything...I've hit my second trimester and have my energy back!

On March 19th, Brian celebrated his 31st birthday! I, of course, did not have my camera on hand for anything but this picture. We had some friends and family over and grilled steaks and had a great time- exactly what Brian wanted. He got his favorite mint chocolate chip ice cream cake, which was a real treat since he has given up sweets for lent!

I have done some cleaning out of closets and major removal of Jack's clothes that are too small. I have also finished cleaning out the baby's closet....and Jack found some of his old toys. He has had lots of fun with this old walker.

We have had the occasional wind free evening and we have certainly taken advantage. The three of us have enjoyed a few dinners on the patio. Jack absolutely loves these evenings and has such a blast eating at a different spot in the house..

Here is one of my favorite pics...Jack ran to get his jacket one morning and came to show me that he put it on all by himself. Isn't he the cutest little goofball!!!?
