The News

Well, most of my few readers, have known for quite some time....but, incase you haven't heard- we are expecting our second child in September! He or she is supposed to be here around the 20th of the month :)

Here is the baby's first, actually second, photo op. We have a sono pic from 7 weeks, but he/she resembles more of a spec or black eyed pea, so we opted for the 10 wk pic.

We have introduced the idea to Jack, but were not sure the idea is sinking in just yet. We have tried asking if he wants a brother or a sister and we get " NO BROTHER, NO SISTER!" in reply- maybe he comprehends better than we think...

My little helper

Jack found him a watering can at Lowe's the other day when I was buying plants. Yes, I know it is still early and it could still freeze....however, I am so sick of dead things in my flowerbeds/ pots and blowing dirt! So, I did some planting and Jack did some watering.

So proud of himself..

Exactly when did this cute little boy grow up?? I swear he has grown an inch or two in the last week and his face has changed into the face of a young man....tear, sniff sniff.

February

February was a somewhat better documented month for me :)  The month, once again, went by too quickly and I am sad to say I didn't keep up with my blogging!

Our month started with some crazy cold weather and several days spent indoors due to school closings/delays. Brian and I attended our anual Mardi Gras celebration benefiting St. Ann's school early in the month, I attended a much needed church ACTS retreat and came home with a renewal in my faith, somewhere in here we figued out Jack has a sunscreen allergy- BOOOO!, we celebrated Valentines Day on the 14th, of course and  then on the 15th my 95 year old Papa passed away. He had a beautiful service on the following Saturday, Feb. 19th.

On the 24th I turned a BIG 29 and I spent the day at home with Jack being sneezed and coughed on- Not exactly my idea of fun, but I'll do anything to make sure that sweet little boy is taken care of ;) He had a horrible cold with a high fever and bilateral ear infections. I worked my shift that Friday at our annual Junior League Spring Fling event.  And then, that sweet boy shared his cold with me...

That same weekend my sister came home to celebrate our birthdays (her's is March 1st) and we had a nice time together. We relaxed on Saturday with pedicures- my cold joined us of course :)

A sweet picture of Lainey giving Jack a kiss!

Our snow covered yard

Jack, after pointing out to me that it had snowed. Good morning sleepyhead!

Enjoying our 2nd or 3rd cookie...

I'm all done

Between my Papa's funeral and my Birthday cold the pictures dwindled after Valentines day. I think I am more than ready for Spring....

January Recap

Seeing as how it is already March, looking back in my memory bank for January seems to be a bit of a blur.

I do not remember exactly what went on in the month, but I know I was under the weather for a good part of it. If I recall, we rang in New Years 2010 with some good friends and our Wii Sports game, Brian spent a fair portion of the month out of town, there were many doctors visits and we had a fairly decent month as far as our weather was concerned. I believe the only pictures I took during the month are documentation of the below. I am feeling better and getting back into the swing of things!

Our weather was nice enough to spend an afternoon at the Duck pond with Jack and Gigi.

He LOVED the ducks and we went through our loaf of bread in what seemed like 10 seconds. He quacked and quacked and we made our way around the pond several times.

Jack had a minor meltdown when I told him we needed to go home. He has taken to running away from me screaming "NO, NO" when he doesn't want to do something. I think this picture below was post meltdown..
