Happy 2nd Birthday, Jack!!!

Yes, I know he has been two for a month now, but give a girl a break. Blogging has not been top on the list.

After Christmas we had a small family party for Jack....and I mean small! I think everyone was exhausted from all the Christmas festivities. I guess that is the luck of the draw having a birthday on the 29th of December. As you can see it was a train theme and he was our "conductor".

More important than the party is this wonderful little man we have been blessed to raise.  And our blessing is an absolute handful most of the time! He is all boy, all the time. Everything he does is big and loud and usually involves cars, trucks, trains, tools or sports.

He has developed a love for any form of transportation- trains, cars, trucks and helicopters to name a few. He wants to be the one to drive wherever we go and it is a huge letdown and sometimes meltdown when he realizes he is going in his car seat- which cracks us up, because he's never been able to do anything but sit in the front seat on occasion while dad is cleaning up the car.  Either way the car seat has become an occasional battle already....

He has a wonderfully fun personality and he laughs at himself and anything he thinks is funny all the time- and that laugh is infectious. He still has a good dose of stranger anxiety and is quiet around people he hasn't seen in a while or those who are new (just like his mama).  He loves to play with his "giwls" as he calls them, also known as the girls, our dogs, Sophie and Abbye. His favorite buddy is still his stuffed Elephant and we can't do anything without him. He is always such a helper, bringing you shoes if he sees you are getting ready to go, or bringing you the phone so you and he can pretend talk. He continues his love for music, reading, letters, coloring and athletic balls- anything he can throw will pretty much do, which will soon be a problem for me and my lamps :)

He knows and can recognize all the letters in the alphabet and will recite almost the entire alphabet. The alphabet usually goes something like A B C D...F G... J K... LMN.. P Q R S.... U V W X Y and ZEEEEE - he is so proud when he finishes :)  He knows all of his shapes, colors, numbers up to twenty and we're working on reciting our full name : Jack Willlamn Frawin, is usually how it comes out. He loves school and his teachers. They tell me what a well behaved young man he is and what a big helper he is- I agree with everything but the "well behaved" part here lately - we have hit our terrible two's with force :) and have been spending more time in the "time out corner". Of course, I believe he is worse for me than for anyone else- he is always well behaved at school apparently and especially for his Gigi- he never gives her any trouble.

His favorite saying as of late is to tell his daddy or myself to " Have a good day" when one of us is leaving or when I drop him off at school. My favorite saying as well as Daddy's is at nighttime - he will tell each of us " I love you Mommy/Daddy before bed and on our way out of his room after tucking him in- MELT MY HEART!! I know that may not be a big deal to some, but I waited a long time to hear those words out of that little mouth :)

Happy Birthday to my sweet boy!
