Halloween 2010

I will say we made it through Halloween 2010 with some cool toys, some pumpkins, a new truck, a little candy and only ONE meltdown....a success!

An excited "Woody" ready to ......"T-tweat"

Checking out the loot at Uncle T and Aunt C's...they were so generous and got him a new Mickey Pumpkin bucket, a halloween t-shirt, some "good" for him treats and the favorite.....a TRUCK! We could not get that truck out of his hands all night!

Then off to see great grandma and

Play the drums!!! I think we may have started something here..

Woody and Gigi

And then we had a visit from our favorite Aggie Yell Leader Lainey! So cute!

A kiss for the road before we go....MUUUAAAH!

Jack checking out the ghosts in the neighbors yard

Waving hi to the big "Pukin". We walk by this pumpkin every night and I know he's been dying to check it out.

Lainey wanted  a look too. "Ohhhh, Ahhhh"

22 Months

Hard to believe this little boy turned 22 mos on the 29th. It has been no huge deal, accept to make me realize that this kiddo is only two months away from being TWO!! How time flies...

He is loving school and his "feeeends" (friends). Make no mistake, still a sniffle or two at drop off, but he is doing so much better. He loves to tell me the shapes or colors they have studied for the day at school and loves to learn. About two weeks ago on our way home from school he started to say aloud a few letters and by the time I knew what was happening he had said the letters J-A-C-K, in that order. I asked him if he knew what he spelled and he screamed "JACK"! He was so very proud of himself and I must say, so was this mama!
He is growing by leaps and bounds physically as well. I can't wait for that 2 yr visit to see how tall and how much he weighs. He is eating us out of house and home and he is a back breaker to hold for any period of time. He talks and talks and talks some more. He loves to pretend he's on the phone and call's his daddy when Brian is not here. He will hold the phone to his ear and say "Hi, daddy. How doing?"
Can't wait for the holidays with this little boy...he is going to be so much fun.

Pumpkin Party

Jack had his school Pumpkin Party on Thursday and I think he had a good time. He was all dressed up and even kept his costume on all day...I was SO IMPRESSED when I showed up for the party and he still had it on!

" Howdy, partner!"

Some more eating....

That pumpkin cookie must have been very good!

Oh, Fiddlesticks!

We headed out to Fiddlesticks Farm with a few friends and I must say I was expecting a more positive trip, but Jack had other ideas in mind....

He insisted on pushing the wheel barrels around (which looked fun)

and then decided to run off with my keys.

We did get a quick peak at the animals and a ride on the cow train, which were both hits,

and maybe one or two decent pictures.

But overall, this picture pretty much sums up our trip.

We will try again next year!

Pumpkin Patch

We headed up to Lubbock a few weekends ago to visit my sister and her husband and to have a few family pictures taken (preview soon). We happend to pass a pumpkin patch on the way home from dinner Saturday night and of course we had to stop. My little pumkin was in heaven in the patch. I think he tried to pick up every pumpkin he touched. He had a blast and assisted a few families in picking out some pumpkins...such a helper!

 Some silly scarecrows!

The cutest pumkins in the patch

So excited he just couldn't handle himself...

It's that time of year....

 OCTOBER IS HERE and .....

It's FALL!!! And I love Fall...It means cooler weather, football games, changing leaves, burning yummy smelling candles in my home and all things pumpkin. And I love that I have my very own pumpkin to look at all the time....I know Jacks hair is red, but get it close to a pumpkin and we have identical twins in color. I think I have transferred my love of pumpkins to him as well. He runs around the house all the time with any one of my "fake" pumpkins or his mini  pumpkin he got at the patch. ANYtime we see a pumpkin we have to stop and say "hello" and then "goodbye" to the pumpkin. He LOVES the pumpkin patch and more than anything loves to see the pumpkins in our neighbors yards. The evening walk has become a real treat for him- always telling the pumpkins he'll be "right back" or "see you morrow". Not sure what we will do when the pumpkins get put up for the season.....

Many pumpkin pics to follow.

What happened to September???

I'm not sure where September went, but I guess I need to get on the ball! Before I know it I'm going to end up having to make this same kind of post for October. As you know from  my earlier post, September began with Jack starting his first day of school and mommy having a minor meltdown. He has worked his way into a nice routine at school and we only have a few tears at drop off now....yay! He has managed to pick up some  "I'm being introduced to new germs" colds and tummy bugs, but none the less seems to be adjusting well. We love our school and teachers and are so happy he is enjoying his new adventure.

We have been busy with CBS every Wednesday and my league placement has kept me busy every Monday night and will continue to do so for another month or so. Monday night has become official Daddy/Jack time  :)

The second weekend in September, we took Jack to Septemberfest and he had a great time. He got to ride down the "Cars" slide SEVERAL times and got himself an Elmo balloon animal. They had camel rides, however the lines were ridiculous and we took a pass.

We did take an opportunity to feed some of the deer and goats in the petting zoo and he had a blast checking out all the animals.

September was also the month that I had my 10 year high school reunion.....boy do I feel old! We had a nice time catching up with old friends. More importantly, we enjoyed a night out for just the two of us!

And somehow this little boy just keeps growing. By the time I realized it, we had already passed 21 months. I cannot get over how much he has learned and grown in the last couple of months. He loves to count and go over his alphabet. He can count to 11 and knows the entire alphabet, most all of the colors and shapes. He is learning so much everyday and we are so impressed by this sweet little man!
