Feb Update No. 2

In the middle of house rennovations, our good friends were kind enough to let us crash with them for the weekend. This gave us all time to catch up, let Jack show off some soccer moves and see his girlfriend Lainey!

Jack and Romy became quick friends.

Here are some sweet shots of Jack and Lainey playing. I think Jack got a litte confused by Lainey's jumper- "hey, isn't this mine?....how did it get here?"

Jack showed off his reading skills to Lainey

....right before he decided he was tired of sharing. Were working on that sharing thing.
On Sunday, we had a very relaxing Valentines Day. The dad's watched the kiddos while the mommies headed out for a pedicure- ahhhhh, it was wonderful!

A few days after we got home, Jack decided to help Dad reorganize his office.

Then, Mommy got a nice day-before-her-birthday present....We got snow! Needless to say we stayed in our PJ-'s all day- it was wonderful!
On the 24th, I turned the big 2-8! and Brian got me some beautiful flowers..

Then, after a few family pics, Gigi came to watch Jack so Dad could take mom to a nice dinner.

This past weekend, I worked my shifts for Junior League to help support our annual Spring Fling event and then Aunt Angie and Uncle D came to town to celebrate our birthdays. Angie's birthday is March 1st, so we always celebrate together. We had a nice family dinner and opened presents Saturday night. Thanks, everyone, for a wonderful birthday weekend!

Feb Update No. 1

February has been a bit busy. Between catching up with work, MDO sign-ups, birthdays and a trip to Big D, my blogging has been put on the back burner.

Jack has mastered some mad TPing skills, much to Mommy's surprise.

Brian and I attended Mardi Gra's at the Petroleum Club earlier in the month. We really enjoy going to this banquet every year benefiting the children and St.Ann's school. The live auction is always eventful and it is nice to see all of our church buddies in a different setting. I apologize to all- this is not the best picture, we took this after we got home and realized we had not taken a before shot.

Jack figured out how much fun an empty water bottle can be.

We spent Valentines weekend in Dallas. Dad had a conference the Monday after Valentines Day, so Jack and I decided to tag along for the fun. Jack took in some good naps, as you can tell.

On the way down, we decided to stop and let Jack play for a while. The soccer ball soon made it's way out of the car and Jack and Dad had a little game. He is so hilarious! Sometimes he will dribble the ball and other times he picks it up and brings the ball back to you. He is so proud of himself.

More pictures to come in our second installment!

Look what I found...

I was looking through old pictures today and look what I found, our little man at about 7 months old. I couldn't resist posting this cute little face!
