Poor Abbye

Jack loves him some Abbye. He also loves Sophie, but she never gives him the time of day. Abbye on the other hand, puts up with alot- as you can see. He is constantly hugging, grabbing or attempting to kiss her. And most of the time she will kiss him back, which he absolutely loves! Thank you, Abbye, for putting up with your little brother.

Caught!!!!

New shoes!!!

This post is for Jack's Gigi. She is almost always in her Crocks.

Well, whenever Jack sees her, he goes straight for her shoes. He thinks they are so cool. I'm not sure why, but he just loves those shoes. So, I was looking in his closet the other day and realized that I had purchased some for him a while back thinking they would fit him in time for summer. Since he is growing so fast, we are in the shoes earlier than anticipated.
I showed him the shoes last week and he immediatly wanted to put them on and he has been in them ever since. If they are not on his feet, he is carrying them around. He is such a goofball. Enjoy Gigi!

Let's Play Ball!

Maybe we have a ball player in our future? Whatever his future, he sure looks cute in uniform!

Jack has many jobs...

Jack has figured out many things in the last few weeks.

He's now a carpenter, dog trainer and acrobat.

A hunter and a race car driver.

A superhero and a housekeeper.

And last, but not least, a fireman.

What a talented guy....

12 month stats

It has been a little over two weeks since our most precious gift from God turned a year old.We had Jack's 12 month check-up last week and I am proud to report that we have a perfectly healthy little boy!

He now weighs just shy of 25 lbs and is in the 75th percentile for weight, he is 31 inches long and in the 90th percentile for height. His head is 19.2 inches and is in the 95th percentile. He might just be a genius with that big ole' brain!

He began taking steps about a week before his first birthday, which made for an interesting Christmas and has now become a full on WALKER! He never sits down, accept to eat. He circles the house all day long, and I thought crawling was bad..... He babbles and talks all day long, but no official words beside mama and dada yet. Although, the more I think about it, we had what I think was a new word a few days ago....I think he is trying to say dog, but it is coming out "dug". So, we've heard lots of dug, dug, dugs lately .He loves his sisters (Sophie and Abbye) and cannot get enough of them, although I don't think Sophie shares the same love. Poor thing, she's getting so old and grumpy. He has figured out however, that the girls will pay him lots of attention if he feeds them from his highchair. And he laughs and laughs when they lick his fingers to see if he forgot anything.

Jack has 10 teeth with more on the way, continues his love for reading (he can't turn the pages fast enough), has developed a fond affection for his blankie and loves his sleep. He sleeps about 12 hours at night and takes an hour and a half nap in the morning and afternoon.

It seems as though it was yesterday when we were bringing him home from the hospital. We feel so honored to be Jack's parents and we're humbled by the opportunity that the Lord has given us to help mold and shape this little boy into the man he will become.

Welcome 2010

Jack celebrating New Years Eve, with a bang.

Hope everyone has a FABULOUS 2010!

A Year in Pictures

Last year at this time, Brian and I were adjusting to life at home with a newborn. We brought Jack home on New Years Eve of last year and our lives have never been the same. Needless to say, 2009 was a year of learning, adjustment, appreciation and memory making, for all of us.

Here is a look back at Jack's first year of life and and how our boy has grown throughout 2009.

Happy First Birthday Jack

Tuesday, the 29th, was Jack's first birthday. We woke to a nice surprise that morning -huge snowflakes falling from the sky. We took advantage of the opportunity and hung out in our PJ's all day. We played, laughed and enjoyed the day together.

Here is my sweet, perfect, wonderful ONE year old boy! While giving him his bath I realized we were coming up on the exact time Jack was born, so I ran to grab the camera. One year old, down to the minute!

We could not be more proud of our little man and are so blessed to be your parents. You are our greatest accomplishment, we love you Jack!
