Pumpkin Patch Pictures

October would not be complete with out Jack's first trip to the pumpkin patch, so here we go......

As Brian was trying to get some shots of Jack and I, a very sweet man came over to ask if we wanted him to get one of the three of us- how sweet! Of course Jack did not want to cooperate, but I think it turned out pretty well.

10 Months

Jack is 10 months. He is growing up to be such a big boy, so fast! He is a speed crawler and is pulling up on everything. In the last two weeks he has begun cruising around the coffee table, from the coffee table to the couch, around his play table and down the length of the fireplace. He is working on saying da-da, not sure why that took so long, but now I think we've got it. Lots of babbling, loves to read with mom and dad before bed and is a pro at turning the page for us. Trying to self feed with spoon- what a mess! Still not super crazy about table food- will eat some things and then the texture of others causes a not so happy face. Loves bath time and is EXTREEMLY attached to his night time bottle, other wise will drink out of his sippy cup. Still takes a morning and an afternoon nap and sleeps about 12 hours at night. He is very ticklish and loves to laugh. If you caught one of my last posts, he is still carying everything around in his mouth like a dog- he is so silly!

Some cute shots over the last week

Looking in the pantry for something good to eat!

Trying on the hat to my pumpkin costume.....get this thing off!

Trying to figure out how to turn this thing back over, what happened?
I don't think he knows his own strength......

Where was I?

Where was I when they were passing out mommy info on teething? My child has RUINED his brand new crib in a matter of a week. Below is what I found one morning last week when I went into get Jack. He has knawed up one side and down the other of his crib. And since his crib is one that converts- he now has an interesting looking footboard to his big boy bed- NO, he will not be getting a new one!

This is really discouraging, considering I have been so careful with vaccines, germs, etc. and here I am letting him knaw on paint! I think his back molars are beginning to come in (yes, I know that sounds early, but he already has 8 teeth) because we are back to knawing on everything, again, including his own arm! Thank the lord for non-lead paint.

So, now we have new rail covers! By the way if you even think you might have this problem- get them early. I went to Target and Babies R Us and no one carries them in the store- you must order on-line.

Oh, Sophie....

We had a bit of a scare with our "first" born yesterday. I was at my mom's house with Jack, when Brian called and said that Soph was acting kind of funny. He said that she was having a hard time walking and making her back legs work. He wanted me to call and get her into the vet. So, as I was leaving the message for the vet (they were at lunch), he called agian to ask where to go emergently because now she was stumbling all over the place, looked disoriented and still having a hard time making her back legs work. Needless to say I was in a panic and sure she was having a stroke or something. I left Jack with mom and met him at the emergency vet....

After speaking with the vet, they asked us to leave her for a few hours to get some testing done. Sheesh! I had the hardest time leaving her.... 2 hours later they said we could come pick her up. All the lab work and x-rays looked ok, but the vet confirmed she had a small stroke.
I know my baby is getting old, but I was not prepared for this to start happening just yet. I have had her since my sophmore year in college and I'm not quite sure what we will do with out her someday.  So far she is well and has wanted to go on our walk last night and again today. Say a little puppy prayer for my Soph- we love you baby girl!

Our Puppy Dog...

Here is our new puppy......his name is Jack. It just cracks me up that he takes off and crawls all over the house with whatever is in his mouth. I'll tell him he is a puppy dog and he just laughs and laughs.

This Weekend

This weekend Aunt Angie and Uncle Dustin came in for a wedding and also to get some family pictures made. We hope all the pictures went well (we shall see) and they had a good time at their wedding. Jack and I stayed in the remaining part of the weekend, other than our pictures, so I could get him to feeling better. We have been sick off and on for the last 3 weeks and today was a perfect day to stay inside. We had a good time seeing Angie and Dustin and I got some great pictures of Jack and his favorite Aunt! Let me just say that my sister has always said that "She dosen't DO kids"....well, she must have forgotten, because she is certainly crazy about her little nephew!

My Little Pumpkin

I'm 11 days late, but it's October and I couldn't resist posting some pictures of my little pumpkin in his halloween PJ's and jogging suit! We kicked off October by giving Jack his first viewing of "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown". I cannot resist all of these Charlie Brown specials made for the holidays. Of course there's The Great Pumpkin and next comes the Happy Thanksgiving and Christmas (my favorite). I guess you could say I'm a snoopy-haulic! I love the Holiday's and I love all of these specials. Here are a few pictures of my pumpkin with his pumpkin colored hair (his hair matches all of the orange in his outfits so well)!
