We had a bit of a scare with our "first" born yesterday. I was at my mom's house with Jack, when Brian called and said that Soph was acting kind of funny. He said that she was having a hard time walking and making her back legs work. He wanted me to call and get her into the vet. So, as I was leaving the message for the vet (they were at lunch), he called agian to ask where to go emergently because now she was stumbling all over the place, looked disoriented and still having a hard time making her back legs work. Needless to say I was in a panic and sure she was having a stroke or something. I left Jack with mom and met him at the emergency vet....
After speaking with the vet, they asked us to leave her for a few hours to get some testing done. Sheesh! I had the hardest time leaving her.... 2 hours later they said we could come pick her up. All the lab work and x-rays looked ok, but the vet confirmed she had a small stroke.
I know my baby is getting old, but I was not prepared for this to start happening just yet. I have had her since my sophmore year in college and I'm not quite sure what we will do with out her someday. So far she is well and has wanted to go on our walk last night and again today. Say a little puppy prayer for my Soph- we love you baby girl!
